String instruments have always attracted listeners with their timbre: first of all, it was compared to a human voice, equally rich and expressive. A concert called & laquo; Magic Strings & raquo; will show string instruments in all its splendor and splendor. The first part will be devoted to the music of Telemann, a Baroque composer, a contemporary of Bach and Handel. There will also be a work by Georg Pelecis, a contemporary Latvian composer and musicologist, close to the minimalist style. In the second part, on the contrary, the music of German Romanticism will be presented: Mendelssohn's D-minor Concerto for violin and orchestra and “Hungarian Dances” & raquo; Brahms arranged for string orchestra. The above compositions will be performed by the orchestra & laquo; Seasons & raquo; under the direction of Vladislav Bulakhov and the soloists of Mosconcert & mdash; Honored & nbsp; Russian artist Graf Murzha (violin) and laureate of international competitions Sergey Poltavsky (viola).

1) Suite Telemann & laquo; Don Quixote & raquo; is one of the first appeals to the immortal novel of Cervantes. The suites illustrate in a comic vein some fragments of the novel: for example, "Don Quixote's Awakening", Rosinante's Gallop, Sancho's Donkey's Gallop.

2) Mendelssohn's Concert for violin with string orchestra, D minor was written by the composer at the age of 12-14 years old.
